Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
Interesting the disciples never ask Jesus how to work miracles, nor how to heal diseases, but ask to be taught to pray. Jesus responds by answering in parables on prayer. This lesson covers the three parables Jesus taught his disciples concerning prayer. We are taught so many things about this subject, yet Jesus speaks so little on the topic. It was Christ’s practice of prayer bringing forth power that interested his disciples. They saw prayer as HIS source of strength and power creating a hunger to learn of this labor of prayer.
