The Five Foundations: Lesson Eight

This lesson covers chapters five and six in the book of Galatians. Join us as we conclude Paul’s epistle to the church in Galatia. To fully enjoy this teaching we suggest you listen to lessons 5, 6, and 7 first in our series The Five Foundations. These prior three lessons cover the first four chapters in the book of Galatians. As we walk thru our final lesson on Galatians Paul covers some very interesting topics not yet discussed. These topics include: The liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, What is the yoke of bondage, The liberty we have been called to, How does one fulfill the law by loving ones neighbor, and of course more on the role of circumcision and where Paul now stands on this doctrine. Galatians is an extremely hard book to understand until we recognize the three groups Paul is addressing in this one letter. These three groups are first heathen gentiles that have received salvation in Messiah, then a group of Jewish teachers trying to add circumcision to the message of salvation to these new gentile believers, and lastly those new gentile believers that were returning to heathen practices in life style. As with all Bible teaching, as we gain insight into another chapter of GOD’s word clarity of other portions of HIS word are seen. We have much greater understanding of the other epistles now due to our awareness of the obstacles encountered while blending Gentiles into the first century church.
