When these two feast days are added to the Days of Awe they total a ten day period (for clarification listen to this lesson).The Days of Awe are a picture of what will take place during what we Christians know as the seven year tribulation period. This is a must understand teaching for all serious students of Bible eschatology.

We suggest you listen to lessons 32 thru 35 before entering into this fifth teaching on the Day of Atonement. In this forty five minute audio we shall cover the High Priest’s last two of his three journeys into the Holy of Holies. Other things that will be explained: The blood of the sacrifice is applied to three objects in the temple, could these three objects represent Christ?

The number of whip like motions used to apply the blood, are these stripes representations of Messiah’s stripes? Two sacrifices blood are mixed, could this represent the deity and humanity of Messiah? Why is the blood applied in five different spots on altar of incense, could this be a picture of the five wounds Christ? (Hands, feet, and side) Several other possible pictures of Messiah appear as we walk thru the day of salvation on this Day of Atonement.

Going On To Perfection: Lesson Thirty-five

This is our forth lesson explaining the duties and rituals performed in the temple on the Day of Atonement. Each lesson is like a piece to a puzzle. The more pieces we put together the clearer our picture becomes. When we have completed each lesson of the Day of Atonement a clear picture of the atoning work of our Messiah appears. In this one hour lecture we will venture behind the veil into the Holy of  Holies for our first of three entries on this special day. Some other things that will be explained: Why the priest made whip like motions in applying the blood, what places this blood was applied, how do we see Jesus in these temple services, how did the high priest see in the darkness behind the veil. These are a few of the topics discussed in this lesson. As always it is a portion that needs to be understood before we move to the next lesson. As the high priest would lay hands on the bullock and confess his sin and Israel’s sin, the animal now became the guilty victim. GOD’S plan of a substitute for mans guilt is the reality of the Day of Atonement.

As we travel the Biblical plan of approaching the Ark of the Covenant we will find there are required rituals. These GOD ordain rituals will reveal unto us the Messiah. Yom Kippur (Hebrew: יוֹם כִּפּוּר, IPA: [ˈjom kiˈpuʁ], or יום הכיפורים), also known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people.[1] Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jewish people traditionally observe this holy day with an approximate 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services.
