This Second lesson is a continuation of understanding the background of Paul. Many questions have been created by his writings to the Romans. When one understands the different groups, Paul is trying to bring into unity a clearer picture is seen of things that might be questionable. Paul is approaching Jews, Jews who accepted Messiah, Gentiles, Jews who believed Gentiles had to become Jewish to receive the Messiah, and Jews that did not believe so. To make matters even more challenging Paul was trying to bring the Pharisee the Sadducee, the Essenes, those who had been schooled in the house of Shammai, and those schooled in the house of Gamaliel into the same faith of the Messiah.
