Parables of Jesus: Lesson Eighteen

In this parable of “The Rich Fool” we cover the entire context of Luke chapter 12. It is in this chapter we learn the difference between things in our life that are necessary and things in our life that are to be important. Spiritual balance is always the key to maintaining a long term victorious walk with GOD. Seeking GOD’S will in our prosperity is just as important as seeking GOD when in need. Money is absolutely necessary, shelter is necessary, as well as clothing, food, and a job. As necessary as all these are we must never classify in our list of most important. Our list of what is truly important will ultimately guide our actions and destination.

Listen and learn from our Master, JESUS the CHRIST.

2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

An unusual aspect of this parable is the fact that Jesus gives the interpretation before he speaks the parable. The parable of “The Barren Fig Tree” is not only life applicable, but prophetic of the nation Israel. Enjoy!

Proceeding the parable Christ speaks 28 verses listing other road signs pointing to the season of Messiah’s return. We are told by Jesus: “Not a generation shall pass when you see all these things”. This lesson is designed to bring a greater clarity to this statement. How long is a generation? Listen and learn what we believe may be an answer!

2  The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
