THE TABERNACLE LESSON ONE

Exodus 25:8-9
8  And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
9  According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

We examine the inner workings and spiritual typologies of the portable structure God gave us HIS blue print to. Here we begin with the first item they were told to construct which was the Ark of the Covenant. Unusual that they had not been given the instructions for the building it would sit in first. Why would we build the furnishings before we have a place to put them?

The Five Foundations: Tabernacle Lesson Six

The frame work and foundation of the Tabernacle are the focus of this lesson. Sounds boring, however you may be amazed at the faith building, spiritual insight you will receive. This is one of Pastors favorite teachings as it allows people to understand the strength of our Christian foundation.

The tabernacle was a portable place of worship God commanded the Israelites to build after he rescued them from slavery in Egypt. It was used from a year after they crossed the Red Sea until King Solomon built the first temple in Jerusalem, a period of 400 years. Tabernacle means “place of meeting” or “tent of meeting,” since it was the place where God dwelt among his people on earth. While on Mount Sinai, Moses received minutely detailed instructions from God on how the tabernacle and all its elements were to be constructed. The people gladly donated the various materials from spoils they had received from the Egyptians.

The Five Foundations: Tabernacle Lesson Five

There are four coverings GOD instructs man to make to cover the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies in his Tabernacle. These four coverings are to be: curtains of fine twined linen, curtains of goat’s hair, a covering of rams skin dyed red, and an outer covering of badger skins. As we study the composition of these four diverse curtains and skin coverings a picture will develop. It is a picture of the workings of our Messiah the CHRIST.

Exodus 26:1,7,14 :Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them. And thou shalt make curtains of goats’ hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.
14  And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers’ skins.

The Five Foundations: Tabernacle Lesson Four

Join us in this 45 minute teaching on the light of the world along with the servant candle. You might be amazed at the hidden typology of the menorah. In the holy place there was no window or place to let in the light. It was lit from a glorious golden lamp stand, which stood directly opposite the table on the south side in the Holy Place. Made from one piece of solid beaten gold it weighed about 43 kg. (over 100 lbs.). In Hebrew it is known as the ‘menorah’ and has developed into one of the most commonly used symbols of Judaism

Exodus 25:31
And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made:
