This Day of the Awakening Blast, another day for the Feast of Trumpets, will proof to be the second most important day on earth with the resurrection of Christ as being number one. Rosh Hashanah (Hebrewראש השנה‎, literally “head [of] the year”) is the Jewish New Year although the real name for this Feast of the Lord is called Yom Teruah (Hebrewיום תרועה‎, literally “day [of] shouting/raising a noise”) or the Feast of Trumpets according to the correct biblical calendar of the 1st and 2nd temple period, not Rosh Hashanah. It is the first of theHigh Holy Days or Yamim Nora’im (“Days of Awe”) which usually occur in the early autumn of the Northern Hemisphere. Pentecost

Join us in a deeper understanding of the Feast of Pentecost as we explore this forth of the seven feast of the LORD. Why did the 120 believers have to wait until this feast to be immersed in the Holy Spirit? Why were we ask to count 50 days beginning on the Feast of First Fruits? What does the feast of Pentecost mean to us in the 21st century?

Pentecost (Ancient Greek: Πεντηκοστή [ἡμέρα], Pentēkostē [hēmera], “the fiftieth [day]”) is the Greek name for the Feast of Weeks, a prominent feast in the calendar of ancient Israel celebrating the giving of the Law on Sinai. This feast is still celebrated in Judaism asShavuot. Later, in the Christian liturgical year, it became a feast commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, (120 in all) as described in the Acts of the Apostles 2:1–31.  For this reason, Pentecost is sometimes described by some Christians today as the “Birthday of the Church.”

Counting The Omer: Lesson One

Leviticus 23:15-16
And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

The counting of the Omer is a term very few Christians are familiar with. This counting of 50 days is according to GOD’S instruction to his children. This 50 day period ties Passover and the feast of Pentecost together. You will find many faith building concepts as well as scriptural clarifications in this 40 minute teaching
